Meet Trudy!
Trudy is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® and founder of Tru Behavior Development, LLC. She provides behavior training and tutoring services and facilitates a 6,000+ member social learning community for applied behavior analysis enthusiasts. The Tru ABA offers a #TruToGo recording package, #TruMock exams, #Tru Consultation and Trainings, and free #TruEvents. Trudy is motivated by effecting socially significant behavior change and disseminating the science of behavior to the next generation of behavior analysts! She loves supporting testers; reach out anytime with questions or for a virtual high five! Her research interests include using technology services for remote training and supervision, joint attention training, and equivalence-based instruction.
Trudy received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education from the University of South Carolina. She taught in the South Carolina public school system before beginning her career in 2010 in the field of applied behavior analysis. She continued her post-baccalaureate education at the University of South Carolina, completing the BACB®-approved VCS with an emphasis on Special Education: Severe and Multiple Disabilities, to become a Board Certified assistant Behavior Analyst in 2014. In 2017 she completed the Master in Education; Curriculum and Instruction program with a focus on applied behavior analysis through Arizona State University, furthering her credential as a BCBA®. Trudy is currently a doctor of educational psychology conducting research and serving as a course instructor for the master's degree in special education, applied behavior analysis program at Texas A&M University. Meet Avery!
Avery Goodwin received her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis in Autism Spectrum Disorder from Ball State University. She passed the BCaBA certification in March 2021 and then graduated from Ball State University with a Master of Arts in ABA with an emphasis in autism spectrum disorder and passed the exam again in March 2022! While studying for her BCaBA® and BCBA® exams, she was a student of Tru Behavior Development, LLC, and received 1:1 sessions with Trudy. She is currently working as a Behavior Consultant in Indiana.
